ARCTIC FUTURES SYMPOSIUM 2019.

Gosia Smieszek, of “Women of the Arctic”, participated in a session on “Gender Considerations in the Arctic” alongside Erika Anne Hayfield, Associate Professor at the University of the Faroe Islands; Ellen Marie Jensen, Guest Researcher at the Center for Women's and Gender Research at UiT, The Arctic University of Norway; and Laura Churchill, the Youth Board Member of Pauktuutit. The panel, which focused on often-overlooked, gender-related issues like domestic violence and the gender pay gap, was moderated by Rósa Rut Þórisdóttir, Associate Scientist, Stefansson Arctic Institute.
